Man Up! Conference - May 5th and 6th, 2017

CVMOP is joining with the Scotland Campus to bring you the Man Up! Conference. The theme of the event is "What You Do Matters - As a Christian, as a Father, as an Employer or Employee, and as a Patriot". It will be held May 5th and 6th (Friday and Saturday) at the Scotland Campus. See the Scotland Campus Website for the event schedule and more details.

Doug Mastriano will be a featured speaker at the conference.

Colonel (COL) Douglas Mastriano is approaching 30 years of active service in the United States Army. He is a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan (three deployments to Afghanistan), began his career in the 1980s, serving along the Iron Curtain with the Second Armored Cavalry Regiment. Since then, he has served at tactical, operation and strategic levels of command ranging from the 3rd Infantry Division (Rock of the Marne), to the Pentagon and in NATO. COL Mastriano has a Masters in Military Strategy, Masters in Strategic Intelligence, Masters in Airpower Theory, a Masters in Strategic Studies and a Bachelor in history. Doug has a PhD in History from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Doug’s book, Alvin York: a New Biography of the Hero of the Argonne won four prestigious books awards. The book is the biography of America’s greatest First World War hero. Doug led the expedition to locate where Alvin York in 1918 received the Medal of Honor. American and French authorities endorsed Doug’s efforts, which led to the construction of a five-kilometer historic trail, replete with monuments and historic markers in the Argonne Forest, France for visitors to walk where Sergeant York fought. His website has details and maps. COL Mastriano teaches strategy at the U.S. Army War College.

The purpose of Cumberland Valley Men of Promise is to encourage men and strengthen them in their walk with the Lord Jesus.

Cumberland Valley Men of Promise is a non-denominational organization that strives to meet the unique needs of men. Over the years we have tackled subjects such as "Becoming a Man of Honor", "Living as a Man of Honor", and "What Men Do". Our events emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between family, church and recreation. Our goal is to encourage men in their spiritual walk with Jesus, challenging them to be engaged as husbands and fathers in the home and as spiritual leaders in their church.
